Wellington… the warm and welcoming village situated on the shores of Lake Ontario. Wellington overlooks the largest freshwater dunes in the world at Sandbanks, and is located in the heart of Prince Edward County's exciting new wine industry.
Wellington's Main Street, known as the Loyalist Parkway, which dates back to 1799 and once bustled with hotels, taverns and horse drawn carriages. From our community museum located in the only remaining Quaker Meeting House in Prince Edward County displaying our great heritage, to the fine old architecture including one of the oldest homes in Ontario dated back to 1786, Wellington wears its history with pride.
Our lakeside park, public beach and boardwalk, all close by the heart of the village. Modern docking facilities and fishing charters. Fabulous B&B's, cottages and inns. Family and fine dining restaurants. Days spas and boutiques. Studios and galleries of our talented artists. Golf, kayaking, the County Marathon and year round festivals and celebrations. And of course within a 10 minute drive you can be sipping wine at one of the 8 area wineries. As well as all the comforts of home in this working village with a bank, post office, grocery and convenience store, library, greenhouse and flowershop, pharmacy, hardware store, laundromats, LCBO and churches.
Wellington… a great place to live.
A wonderful place to visit.
