From Picton follow Hwy. 33 to County Rd. 8, follow a short distance to a Y junction, keep right and this is County Rd. 17. Stay on 17 for approximately 5 kms and after going through 2 sets of "S" turns, you will turn left onto County Rd. 16. Follow 16 to County Rd. 13.

Turn right at the stop, onto County Rd. 13, continue along passing the Black River Cheese Co. Ltd. The next land mark is the Mariners Museum at the junction of County Rds. 13 and 10. The South Bay Ostrich Ranch is approximately 5 kms beyond the museum at 2697 County Rd. 13.
