The South Bay Ostrich Ranch is located on perhaps one of the most unique stretches or roadway within Prince Edward County. Beginning with most easterly point of County Rd. 13, the peninsula at Point Traverse is home to the Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area, a major flypast for migrating birds in the spring and fall. One can also observe the last working commercial fishing village in Lake Ontario. Heading westward, the next point of interest is Ducks Dive Charters and Cottages where avid scuba divers can explore a number of intact 19th century shipwrecks, many still with their running gear, wheels, anchors etc. with visibility ranging on average from 25 to 100 ft.
Continuing west is the Boars of Babylon, home to the European Wild Boar. The "Leaner Not Meaner" rich, dark, low fat, high protein boar meat can be purchased or arrangements can be made for bow hunting at the Balfour Hunt Camp.
Next stop, Little Bluff Conservation Area provides a breathtaking view from it's 20m high limestone bluff overlooking reminders of the prosperous "Barley Days". The base of Little Bluff provides opportunity to explore the cobble beach and 7.5 acres of marsh abundant with waterfowl and other marsh life.
Johnson's Marina and RV Park offers fuel for boaters and a Snack Bar should you fancy a bite.
Smuggler's Cove Campground is next if in need of the back to nature fulfillment.
Next is Blizzmax Art Gallery displaying contemporary art from Prince Edward County and the Quinte-Kingston area and the works of resident artist Peter Mennacher.
Long Run Imports Inc. is the place to be for repairs and restoration of Jaguars, Saabs, Mercedes and other fine imports by owner Richard Copple.

Yet another interesting stop brings you to the South Bay Cactus Farm where John Munro-Cape will be delighted to educate all interested in any of his 2000 different varieties of cacti.
Next, is the Mariner's Museum, without a doubt one of the finest and most interesting museums on the Great Lakes.
Last you will come upon the Black River Cheese Co. Ltd., winners of world class 2nd place ribbons for their entries in the Cheesemakers competition for each of the past two years.
