In addition to the unexpected interest of visitors we were constantly asked if we had considered accommodations for people as a family farm vacation or B&B. After careful consideration it was decided to open up our home.
The centre gable brick farm house, built in 1864 by the Great Lakes Shipping Captain Nelson Hudgin is now readily accepting families eager to experience our country lifestyle. The former farm-hand quarters and master bedroom are prepared for visitors.
Breakfast and dinner are available and visitors are encouraged to participate with daily chores. 75 acres awaits exploration for those interested in nature walks complete with rabbits, deer, hawks, wild turkeys and a variety of other feathered friends.
Swimming is excellent as there is no sudden drop off but a gradual slope to reach the deeper water.
Accommodation is also available for up to six people at the waters edge for those families that want to be self sufficient. Complete with large deck, picnic table, umbrella, full sized BBQ, bonfire pit, 18 cu. ft. fridge, microwave, stove, TV, stereo and 4 piece bath.
