• Enjoy the Natural Beauty. "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints." There are over a dozen conservation areas throughout the County, providing photographic opportunities, cross-country skiing, picnic areas, restored historical sites, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and more.
•  Take a tour - horseback trail riding, farm tours, exotic animal sanctuary, winery tours, nature tours .... Prince Edward County is full of surprises.
•  Sightseeing? Explore the Mystery of Lake on the Mountain, take a free ride on the Glenora Ferry and tour the scenic Loyalist Parkway through the heart of the County. Stop for a picnic lunch at the Rutherford-Stevens Lookout or Little Bluff.
• Cycle touring is popular on our friendly scenic roadways and off-road trails. Tour the County's gorgeous rolling hills through rare countryside with views of Lake Ontario.
• Calling all birders! Prince Edward County is a world class birding location! To date, over 350 species have been spotted. And don't miss Bird House City, just outside Picton at Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area.
• Explore our living heritage. The County was settled by United Empire Loyalists in the 1780's and many of their descendants still live, work, and farm here. Find your family roots at the Marilyn Adams Research Centre, the only free standing Genealogical Research Centre in Canada.
• Visit the local artisan shops - craft shops, glasswork studios, painters' galleries, pottery places... The County is a mecca for artists from all walks of life.
• Tee off at a local golf course. Nine-hole three-par quick courses to the most challenging 18-hole clubs. (There's miniature golf too!)
• In the "Garden County", shop our farm markets or pick your own! Select from award-winning cheeses from the cheese factory, and visit the tasting rooms at the local wineries. Join us at the agricultural fairs, Garlic Festival, TASTE event, and Pumpkinfest.
• Antique hunters, enjoy! The County is known for its selection of "Canadiana" - primitive pieces, usually of pine, that inhabited the first homes of settlers.
